Is it painful to have breast implants removed?

You will not be in any pain during the procedure since you’ll be under general anesthesia. During your recovery, you may experience some discomfort due to swelling and inflammation as your tissue and incisions heal.

Your doctor may temporarily place small thin tubes under your skin to help drain blood and other fluid that accumulates. The tubes may cause slight discomfort. Your doctor will prescribe medication to reduce your pain.
