What is done during the second stage of bilateral breast reconstruction?

The second stage of bilateral breast reconstrcution replaces the tissue expander placed during the first stage with a permanent implant. This surgical procedure is performed under general anesthesia, and occurs after the patient has completed additional treatments, such as raditation and chemotherapy.
