Is neuropsychiatry and neuropsychology the same?

Neuropsychiatry and neuropsychology are not the same. Neuropsychiatrists are medical doctors that can prescribe medication as part of their treatment plan. Neuropsychologists may treat some of the same conditions; however, they do not prescribe medication. The neuropsychologist's role is involved with the assessment and psychological testing to evaluate brain disorders.
